Looking to fill a bedroom in my 2nd floor Ridgewood apartment! It's a 15'3" x 11'11" sunny bedroom with massive closet and hardwood floors. There's a 10'4" x 7'7" room connected to the bedroom that is currently being used as a studio space but could become a shared workspace. The apartment has a very large kitchen and one other bedroom stationed on the other side of the apartment. The living room is a great, art filled space connected to a bathroom that has both a bathtub and shower. The bedroom itself will be unfurnished but the rest of the apartment is stocked (I'm very open to moving things around or even getting rid of things if it doesn't feel like a good fit). The apartment is right by the Seneca M stop and about 10 minutes from the L train, there are also plenty of bus options. Very walkable neighborhood with tonsss of food options.
I like to maintain a living space that is comfortable, relaxing and fun to be in :-) The only real cleaning "rule" is to avoid letting dishes sit overnight. The rest has been pretty common sense so far, I'd be open to adopting a chore chart or something like that, me and the current roommate have been good about keeping things tidy without one but whatever's clever! I'd prefer to live with another queer person (or couple) but could make an exception. I appreciate sharing meals, conversation, movie time, drawing time etc. with a roommate but also value/understand the need for privacy. I work 9-5, visit my family/friends in other neighborhoods and often go away over the weekends so if a bit of alone time is something you value, this could be a very dreamy situation for you.
My name is Maya, I'm 26 and use they/them pronouns. I am allergic to tree nuts and sesame seeds and....sadly....cats. :-( But no need to limit your cooking! I can be in close proximity to sesame and tree nuts, I just like to keep things clearly labeled so I don't accidentally poison myself (lol). I'm a born n bred New Yorker. I'm a big fan of honest/direct communication and art-books and movies. I like sweet treats and bagels and this beautiful toaster that's on the way to me now.
Feel free to ask me any questions if you're interested, I'm a pretty open book :-)
*I am a TERRIBLE photographer and will gladly send a video of the room/apt to interested parties*

I can show the apartment during the week in the evenings (6pm-) the easiest, but could potentially figure out something over the weekend as well. No deposits necessary.
