W'burg 1 bedroom apt-- longterm April 1-Aug 1 or Jan 1

Apartments for Sublet

$2,250/month

Location

Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Available

March 26, 2025 - August 1, 2025

Transportation

Lorimer/Metropolitan L/G, Marcy JMZ

**No pets/care animals (sorry, allergic). One person preferred. Please read through thoroughly before reaching out **

Looking for the perfect Williamsburg spot that's NOT a new soulless condo and NOT a dingy railroad apt? Then sublet my one-bedroom garden apartment in the heart of Williamsburg with original hardwood floors, exposed brick, high tin ceilings. Conveniently located right on top of the Lorimer L and G train. Cozy. Tidy. Books. Recent subtenant just said it was their favorite apartment in 10 yrs in NYC, it is a gem ;)

Availability

April 1-August 1/Jan 1, 2026
For start, the apt is available after March 26th so ideal start is between then and April 1.

As for end date, I would ideally be looking for long-term through 2025 or Spring 2026. However, there is a very small chance things will shift with work and I will need to take it back end of summer, which I could confirm in a month or so.

So ideal person would agree to take it at least April 1-Aug 1, and want to continue to either until Jan 1, 2026 or May 2026.

The Space

This is a ground floor apartment. There is a bedroom with a full queen bed (Yoga Bed memory foam mattress) and large dresser, the large living room has a wooden futon (that doesn’t look like one), coffee table and two desks, a full kitchen, a small foyer, and an old-fashioned bathroom with tub.

While it is on the first/ground floor, it is very quiet for the location as it is set in the back and looks onto a private patio (sorry, you will not have access to the garden). There are 4 steps to get into the building.

Kitchen has all the basics for you to prepare meals. Cotton towels and sheets provided, or you can bring your own bedding.

Utilities

Heat is included. High speed Wifi, electricity, and cooking gas are not included. Charge for that is 175 a month.

The Neighborhood
The locale offers conveniences like Whole Foods, Trader Joes etc 7 min walk to Bedford area, but there's a gourmet grocery right on the same block. 5 block walk to McCarren park

Getting Around

You can take the L or G train right at the apartment. The JMZ is a short walk. If you're up for a longer walk (and fresh air these days) the Williamsburg bridge is close. Also, there is street parking if you're driving.

Use

I’d prefer it be rented by one person. Absolutely no parties. You’d either need to clean it back to condition you found it (I provide a checklist) or pay for a cleaner.

I live in a shoes off home and prefer if you did too (NYC is amazing but filthy!). I also have an allergy to perfume so no air fresheners/glade plugins

Maintenance

I am available in case of emergencies. Super lives in basement.

Application process
If you are interested write me with a little about yourself + the following info. I understand searching for an apartment in NYC is intense, but do get lots of inquiries so will only reply to people who share this info!

I will share a video walkthru with people that best fit needs. Then, if you like the place, can arrange a meeting and then tour to see if you are a good fit

Unless we have friends in common, I will need to check a personal reference (like someone you rented from or a co-worker I can call to verify your character and income).

If you are selected after I speak to your reference, I will ask for one month deposit to hold the sublet which will be returned to you right after the sublet is over and condition of the apt is confirmed.

**Please share the following. I understand it takes a lot to find a place but I will not reply to inquiries without this info.**

-Please share about yourself and some URLs to show me who you are online! I am not on socials (including Linkedin), so other web links are ideal

-What your ideal timeframe is and how flexible you are with it.

-If and how long you've lived in NYC. What was your last living situation? Why are you looking now? Confirm whether it is just you looking or not.

-What you do for work? Detail how you will finance your rent.

-This is furnished, so please confirm you understand that. If
you think you'd like to bring any furniture, please specify what that is.

-Please share what you are like as a person/need from a living environment. Any particular needs?

-Please let me know if you will not be able to view the apt IRL/are searching remotely

Thank you!
