Artist Live/Work Space
MERZ offers no 5, a two/three bedroom cottage for single or couple, and Tadpole a micro-home for single. Both self contained with kitchen including washer and fridge, toilet and shower room, with WiFi and TV.
Working spaces include MERZ gallery and ZIP Studio, for messier work.
Fine walking country in quiet historic village with pubs, shops and cafes a short distance to open country. Train line to Glasgow and Dumfries and quarter mile walk from station.
About This Lister
MERZ is an artist led space run by David Rushton. The town’s abandoned lemonade factory and abattoir were converted into MERZ and the Museum of Model Art between 2009 and 2018. MERZ has hosted over one hundred artists in residence since 2019. Rushton lives in a flat nearby.

Rental requirements
Rental $800 for single in Tadpole $1200 for one or two in no 5.
Minimum stay two months with longer five or six month preferred.
Rental one month in advance.
Filming and exhibition available.
