I work in oils and generally not too large a canvas. I am looking for a space that’s not too large or not too small with north light windows. The space needs to be empty of all furnishings, and I am not looking for a studio mate. I’m looking for a room there is a slop sink available whether inside the room or in the hallway and a clean bathroom. I prefer an elevator building whether freight or regular. At the moment, I’m thinking of a one-year lease. I am presently working in a studio downtown, but I’m finding the trip too time-consuming ;so I’m looking for something closer to my apartment. I prefer something in an artist building, but I will look at anything. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I am a working artist who has been painting for many years. I live in Manhattan and have all my life. Because of certain present needs my trip downtown doesn’t allow me enough time to work on my paintings. I sometimes work into the evening. I am a representational Painter and I work from life only so I need good North facing daylight because it offers me a steady light and it’s a blue or light which I like to work from since my work is a study of light and shadow.
