I'm subletting the second bedroom in my pristine apartment on the top floor of a historical brownstone. Sun-drenched and incredibly quiet, this place is ideal for anyone writing, drawing, editing, or just seeking a respite from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. The room sleeps two, and is furnished with a full-size bed, large built-in closet, and a West Elm wall desk. You'd share the common space with me, and my feisty cat, Mono. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and dishwasher, and yes, a clawfoot bathtub! Located on a tree-lined street in the heart of historical Harlem. Steps away from the National Jazz Museum, Apollo Theater, and St. Nicholas Park; 5min walk to Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and the subway (A/C, B/D, 2/3, or 10 mins to 4/5/6).
I'm an international academic, originally from Berlin. I work from home a lot, so usually keep it relatively quiet, but am always happy to take a break over a glass of wine, or share a meal together. I'm a die-hard minimalist both for aesthetic, and for ecological reasons, so you'll find here fewer, but better things.
I'm the tenant.
Please note that smoking is prohibited on the entire premises. I have a cat - please love them. This is a friendly, community-oriented building where we know and respect each other. Landlords live on the ground floor and are great. Please tell me a little bit about yourself/selves. No background check required.
