We’re offering a 12-month sublet for our apartment, available from January 2025, with flexibility on the start day that month.The apartment can be fully unfurnished or partially furnished, depending on your needs.
Where?
South Park Slope, between 5th and 6th Avenues.
Approximately 7min walk (0.4mi) to the R at Prospect Ave or 10 mins(0.5mi) to the F/G at 4th/9th or 7th Ave stations. There’s a community garden on the corner, and you can easily walk to both Prospect Park and Greenwood Cemetery. The area has access to lots of bars, cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, delis, and dollar stores, but is still quiet.
The Apartment:
~1000 sq ft in an elevator building with a coin-operated laundry room in the basement ($2 per washer/$1.50 per dryer)
2 generous sized bedrooms, with a walk-in closet in the main larger bedroom
Open plan kitchen with lots of storage and a dishwasher
Balcony looking out to the street (and community garden) with a tree in front for shade (we can leave the balcony umbrella+furniture too)
Built-in closets in each room
In-wall air conditioners and individual control of gas baseboard heating
Hardwood floors
South facing, great light with big windows & sliding glass door- stays warm from the sun in winter+we have thermal blocking curtains that help keep cool in the summer.
Additional Details:
Utilities: Gas and electricity will need to be transferred into your name for the duration of the sublet.
Internet: We can discuss keeping our internet plan and hardware in place for your use as we have a decent priced plan with high speeds!

We've lived in the apartment for 5 years but my partner and I have decided to travel in 2025. We love the apartment so much that we'd prefer to sublet so we can move back in 2026 when we return to Brooklyn.
Tenant
A credit and background check will be required. You will sign an official sublease agreement with us and the landlord + put down a 1 month deposit and first months rent (prorated if you move in after the 1st)
Pets allowed (max 2 per our lease)
