I am subletting my bedroom in a beautiful Victorian in the Mission District from now until July 2025 while I live and work in Berlin. Exact beginning and ending dates negotiable.

This is a large bedroom on the second floor, 196 square feet (16’6”X11’11”) with East-facing bay windows and two large closets. Comes fully furnished including a cozy queen sized bed and a desk. The rent for the room is $1250 + $200 for weekly professional housecleaning and house fund (cleaning supplies, paper products, spices, pantry staples). $50 avg PGE. All other utilities are included in the rent, such as laundry and high-speed internet.

The house itself is spacious. You’ll be sharing the second floor with 3 other housemates, and another lives upstairs. Both floors have their own bathroom while sharing the kitchen, living room and community room. There are two more housemates in their own apartment downstairs. We all share a huge amount of outdoor space between the garden and three decks, and our yard has a fire pit and a pizza oven.

We are centrally located, close to cafes, stores, restaurants, the library, and public transport (24th St. BART Station plus plenty of bus lines).

We’ve been a collective house since 1986 and we are all activists, artists, writers, musicians, and healers. We are friendly and pretty busy. Most of the time we enjoy our privacy, and the house is quiet, dotted by the occasional community party. Most housemates are drug and alcohol free. Our age spread between all 3 floors is 35-80, and we have one housemate of color and one trans housemate. We’re looking for people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds.

I myself am an IT Consultant living partly in the US and Germany, Next year we are planning to move back to SF for my daughters high school years.
