Hi I'm looking for someone to take over my lease! The current lease period ends Aug 31st, 2025.
The apartment is beautiful and clean, and has lots of amenities. It's 3 blocks from the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Ave 74 st. stop for the R, M, F, E, and 7 trains. Dishwasher, washer, and dryer are all in-unit, and I currently have 2 cats here that are written into the lease.
There are 3 other flatmates here currently: An engineer in his 60s who works from home. A programmer in her 40s who also works from home. The third flatmate works in FiDi. They're all polite and mostly keep to themselves, are responsive to concerns. Utilities are typically $60-$80 per month per person/room.
The room is the largest one in the apt, 12x12 and with a fairly large and tall closet. Room is South-facing, living room is east-facing with lots of natural light all day. There is an elevator, in-unit super, and a digital intercom with camera to see visitors. We have the fastest internet available since 3 of us work from home. Typically it's pretty quiet here! There are two bathrooms, one with a standing shower and the other with a tub.
I built a king-sized Murphy bedframe in here since I WFH and wanted the floor space back during the day - if you happen to have a king-sized mattress, I can leave the bed-frame since it's a hassle to remove! But if not, I'd uninstall it and patch/paint over any issues.

I'm a therapist and work from home, but have the chance to live with a good friend nearby so I'm moving out!
Current Tenant
The usual - 1 month's rent security deposit, good credit and income verification via the leasing office since it's a lease takeover.
I have two cats here, written into the lease, so it shouldn't be an issue!
