This is a VERY walkable neighborhood, 7 minute walk to the Highland Park Metro station and Tuesday evening Farmer's Market. 10 minute walk to grocery and drugstores, coffee shops, bars, and vintage shopping ranging from cheap to scandalous. Public parks, library, and tennis / basketball courts are also nearby. Immediate area is very quiet.
