I am looking for a subletter starting January 1st, 2025 or after (min stay 3 months or possibly longer)
Since I work from home, I would prefer to live with someone that does not work from home. I work from home 90% of the time and due to the nature of my work I cannot share the space while I am working. If you work from home some or part of the time, please let me know what your hours are and how many days a week.
$1300 a month + utilities (around $100/month, higher in summer months)
$1300 security deposit.
(Please note: security deposit as well as first month rent are due before moving in)
My beautiful apartment consists of:
-large kitchen (toaster, blender, electric kettle, microwave, stovetop, oven)
-large dining room, with large dining table, 5 chairs
-large living room (with two couches and coffee table)
-large bathroom with bathtub/shower
-smaller bedroom, with queen bed, clothing rack and 3 long floating shelves
-closet
-natural light in all rooms
-high ceilings
-AC (one in living room, kitchen and bedroom), 2 box fans and ceiling fan in the living room
-4 additional folding chairs
-two small desks (with one wooden chair, one rolling chair)
-wifi
-TV with Roku
-overhead lighting, 3 floor lamps and 4 table lamps
-air purifier in living room
-hardwood floors
-2 flight walkup
This is perfect for someone new to the city, visitors/family in town, or someone who has temporary work in the city.
Sheets, pillows, blankets, and bath towels can be provided upon request.
Whoever sublets will have access to the smaller bedroom, queen-sized bed (on frame), clothing rack, partial closet and 3 long bookshelves (mounted on wall).
Large kitchen is a great space to cook in and is separate from the adjoined dining and living room areas.
The apartment is located in an ideal spot in Brooklyn right on the Park Slope/Prospect Heights border. Close walk to Vanderbilt Ave, Atlantic Terminal and Park Slope. Two blocks from Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn Library, and the best part of the neighborhood, Prospect Park! Tons of cool restaurants (all types of cuisine), bars, and shops right outside your door. Many grocery stores are easily accessible (including a 24 hour one).
Transportation: The apt is across the street from the express B/Q 7th Ave subway stop. It is also a 2 block walk to 2/3 train Grand Army Plaza subway stop. Subway ride into Manhattan is 15 mins. Street parking is available.
Very easy and fun walk to the following neighborhoods: Park Slope, Fort Greene, Clinton Hill and Crown Heights.
Apartment comes fully furnished with a TV, couch, bed, dining room table, chairs and a few other small pieces of furniture.
I am a freelance writer and therapist in my 30s who loves film, learning Spanish, comedy, art/design and all the culture that NYC has to offer. I love to travel and explore coffee shops and museums in new cities. I love mediation and somatic practices. I work from home and am looking for a roommate that does not. I am looking for a positive, clean, respectful and clear communicator to share my apartment. Also someone who is upfront about things.
