Interior Details:
Living Area:
Fairly spacious and partially furnished. Some furniture will be removed, creating a flexible environment that we can co-create together.
Bedroom:
The available room is unfurnished and features a window with a brick wall view. Currently, the space includes a queen-sized bed, nightstand, desk, and dresser—offering a cozy and functional setting.
Shared Spaces:
The apartment features a shared bathroom, kitchen, and living area. I enjoy hosting and would love for our space to be equally welcoming to friends and guests. My goal is to create an environment where we both feel comfortable inviting others over, while remaining considerate of each other’s space and privacy.
Ideal Roommate:
I’m looking for a roommate who values a well-maintained living environment and a collaborative community. You should appreciate keeping shared areas tidy—taking care of dishes daily and committing to regular thorough cleanings (preferably weekly or bi-weekly). I view our living arrangement as a partnership, with occasional check-ins to ensure both of us feel comfortable and supported. The ideal roommate is professional, friendly, and sociable, with a preference for individuals in their mid-thirties and older who are committed to maintaining a respectful, inviting environment. I will prioritize mid-thirties and older individuals that do not WFH.
Additional considerations include:
Inclusivity: LGBQT+ friendly.
Pet Policy: I have a 13-year-old cat named Catsby, so comfort with cats is essential.
Lifestyle: No smoking of cigarettes or weed is permitted.
I’m a 41-year-old cisgender white female originally from Houston, Texas, and I’ve been proud to call New York home for almost four years now. I work part-time as a pastor at an inclusive, ecumenical Christian church in Manhattan and also practice as a Somatic Practitioner and Spiritual Director.
While I mostly lived alone through my thirties, I welcomed a roommate last year. I believe that sharing a space can be both comforting and inspiring—especially in a city that can feel so vast and sometimes lonely. I value community, connection, and the opportunity to create a welcoming home together.
As a roommate, I’m adaptable and respectful. I prioritize maintaining clean and organized shared areas—my family instilled that habit in me—and I find that it really supports my mental well-being. That said, when I’m busy, my personal space might be a bit less tidy, but I always strive to keep common spaces welcoming and organized.
Outside of work, I love exploring the city on long walks, hosting friends for drinks, and soaking in the beauty of my neighborhood. I’m passionate about New York’s vibrant energy, and I look forward to creating more opportunities for connection in our shared home. I also have a sweet, older cat who is very much a part of my family.
I work a hybrid schedule, so you’ll see me around the house a few days a week while I’m also out and about in the city. I welcome a roommate who is comfortable with out-of-town guests and values a friendly, balanced living environment.
I am on the lease- you will co-sign the lease with me
I have a current roommate that does not want to resign, so I am looking for a new roommate to co-sign with me. There is some flexibility in the date, I could potentially do as late as June 1, move in.
Also, the current lease runs until June 1, so you would pay the deposit to my current roommate along with April and May rent. Then you would pay the management company for June 2025 through June 2026 when you sign a new lease.
This is what the management company requires:
Photo ID
Last 3 Pay Stubs
Proof of income
Hand signed Rental Application form
Most Recent Tax Returns (First 2 pages of 1040 and W2)
Most Recent Bank Statements (First page of checking & savings accounts)
Salary will be taken into account and guarantors welcome.
Our current lease runs out June 1. So you would be replacing my current roommate on the lease and applying as a new tenant and signing from June 1, 2025 - June 1, 2026.
I have a cat, it just depends on if you think your pet will get along with a cat. My current roommate has a dog and Catbsy is obsessed with him.
