We are Paula and Alonso, a couple from Chile who have been living, studying, and working in NYC since 2023. We’re looking for a kind and respectful person to rent a large bedroom in our 3-bedroom apartment in beautiful Astoria, Queens.

- Bright, spacious, and fully furnished (bed, mattress, desk + chair, bedding)

- Big window with natural light

- Clean wooden floors and high ceilings

- Quiet, cozy, and move-in ready

🏠 About the Apartment

- 3 bedrooms / 1 bathroom

- We use one of the bedrooms as a home office, keeping common spaces quiet and uncluttered.

- Fully equipped kitchen: espresso machine, air fryer, kettle, blender, dishwasher, and more

- Shared bathroom with updated layout and extra shelving

- Calm and tidy living/dining space

- You’ll be living with the two of us and our lovely, very quiet older cat — so being cat-friendly is essential 🐱.

🧼 Important: Maintaining extremely clean and respectful behavior in shared spaces is essential.

🌿 About Our Home Culture

- We keep things quiet and peaceful, especially in the evenings

- No parties (building rules)

- We give advance notice for visits from family or friends, who stay in our room or the office

- We value open, friendly communication and a chill, respectful environment

- The apartment is just a 4-minute walk from the Astoria-Ditmars Blvd subway station (N/W line). Astoria is a vibrant, and super-connected neighborhood with:

- Astoria Park and its riverside views

- Amazing food (Greek, Middle Eastern, Colombian, Thai, and more!)

- Favorite spots like Taverna Kyclades, Martha’s Country Bakery, and Hamido Seafood!

- Great cafes, bars, groceries, gyms, and more within walking distance

We are Paula and Alonso, a couple from Chile who have been living in NYC since 2023. We love building a warm, calm, and welcoming home — and we’re excited to share it with someone who values the same.

Alonso is a PhD student who works from home most days. He’s passionate about coffee making (the espresso setup is serious!) and enjoys long stretches of quiet time to write and study.

Paula is a psychologist, working both remotely and in person. She loves to bake, tends to our plants, and is the main playmate of our very chill older cat, who you’ll be sharing the space with. 🐱

We both love interior design, South American food, and creating a space that feels both inspiring and peaceful. We keep things tidy, organized, and serene — and are looking for someone who appreciates that kind of environment.
