Three month winter rental- 1.5 miles from center of Woodstock

Welcome to our artist retreat cottage in the heart of Woodstock, New York. Located on an historic street in Woodstock, the open-plan living space was formerly a carriage house and inhabited over the decades by various artists including, Eugene O'Neil.

This rustic yet elegant cottage is a perfect sanctuary for creative minds seeking quiet & time to create. The cottage includes a sitting area downstairs with a mid-century twin fold-down futon couch, a fully equipped kitchenette, some shelves and a large limestone bathroom with walk-in shower.

Upstairs, the bedroom is accessible via a handmade ladder made from felled trees. There is a writing desk with chair and an electronic keyboard (stored for now). The plush queen-sized bed is fitted with an organic latex mattress, there are plenty of blankets on hand for the cooler nights.

The cottage is surrounded on one side by pine forests and on the other with willow trees that screen the view to the main house, creating a private outdoor space where you can enjoy your morning coffee on the limestone patio under the 100 year old Maple trees that ring the property.

Located just a short 5 min drive from Woodstock village, you can explore its many shops & restaurants. Visit KTD and hike nearby trails, visit art galleries, or attend live music performances.

Please note that this is a carriage house from the 1800's that has been updated, but rustic original hand hewn beams and plain stone foundation remain.
