I'll be out of town for the last week of May and much of June, and would like to sublease my home to someone who can take care of the indoor jungle that I've created.

The apartment has a full kitchen, a full bath, a hallway with closets, a living/dining room with very comfy couches, an art studio with a baby grand piano, and a bedroom with a writing desk and a queen bed. It's a floor-through unit with great light and three large windows on each end. There is one (rather steep) outdoor flight of stairs to the building, and another indoor flight up to the apartment, with no elevator. It's on a street that is usually pretty quiet, with healthy street trees directly in front of the building. There's a nice cafe on the closest corner, two grocery stores within two blocks, and many popular restaurants and bars within a five to ten minute walk. It's an eight minute walk to the 2, 3, 4, and 5 subway lines, a 15 minute walk to the Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and a 20 minute walk to Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Public Library. Neighbors are typically quiet and often not around.

The apartment comes with fast wifi, and all utilities included. As I said, I'd like to have someone who is good with houseplants, but they don't really need a lot of attention. They should probably be watered 4-5 times while I'm away, which might take a couple hours total. I'll provide clear instructions, and will be reachable by phone and email if you have any questions (plant-related or otherwise). I keep the space clean and have put a lot of care into it, so I'll be looking for someone who can do the same. I'm open to having one or two people in the space. If you are interested, please write me a message telling me about yourself and what brings you to NY. From there we can set up a video interview.
