I'm looking for a short-term subletter to stay in my Bed-Stuy apartment and care for my sweet middle-aged cat. My second-floor walk-up apartment is located equidistance from the Kingston-Throop C and Utica A-C subway stops. Ideal for a single person (though a couple could be comfortable), the apartment is fully furnished (linens included), has hardwood floors throughout, a beautifully tiled bathroom, a fully-equipped kitchen, dishwasher, microwave and a washer-dryer in-unit (!). The home office gets excellent light and is perfect for working from home or day-writing/day-dreaming. Utilities and WiFi are included.

Bonus: The apartment is conveniently located a short distance from Bed-Stuy favorites like Saraghina, Peaches, Secret Garden, Bar Lunatico, Ma-n-Pop Soul Food, Macon Library, Rita and Maria, to name a few. Additional shopping and eating on Tompkins Avenue is within a short 10-minute walk.

Cat care is minimal and includes ensuring the automatic feeder is stocked, daily fresh water is available and the litter box is clean. Audrey (my cat) is well-behaved, mostly sleeps all day and might even curl up on your lap during your WFH. Plants care requires a spritz of water once a week.

Priority will be for those interested in the full period, although I do have some flexibility with the start date.

I'm available throughout the stay for any questions or issues that may arise (though I don't anticipate them, in my experience, the apartment has historically been low-maintenance).
