Large, Sunny Room in Apartment on the Park

We live in a beautiful, large 3-BR /2-bathroom apartment, facing Prospect Park near 12th Street.
Our third roommate has been tempted away by the chance to move in with his bestie, so now we have the following to offer starting May 1st: a huge, quiet, UNfurnished bedroom (about 15'x12.5') in the back of the apartment with plenty of light, high ceiling, super strong Wifi, tons of closet space and maybe best of all, your own full, private bathroom.

The shared common space-- living room/kitchen-- which faces the Park and has Eastern exposure is perfect for a leisurely breakfast on the weekends.

Laundromats and supermarkets, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, and delis are all nearby, as are the F and G trains
(Prospect Park / 15th Street), which take you to Manhattan in 20 minutes.

We are two women in our early 50's, one with a regular 9-5 office job, and one with a more varying freelance schedule.
If asked to describe the overall ethos of the living situation here, we like to say "it's friendly, yet autonomous". We're each self-sufficient, generally sociable, big on cleanliness and consideration, and are looking for same - someone who treasures a peaceful home, and knows how to live with other people.

Utilities include gas, electricity, and Wifi which are split 3 ways each month. Sorry, no pets, and no smoking in the apartment. While the bedroom is bigger than some studios, we are only looking to live with one more person, so no couples, please.
We are asking for one month's rent, and a security deposit of same.

We prefer a commitment of 12 months, and love it when someone makes it home for longer!

About This Lister

Kristina moved to Brooklyn from Berlin, is a bit of a nerd about languages, makes the fluffiest buttermilk pancakes, and doesn’t mind sharing! She sings alto in a chorus, is a fairly intrepid cyclist, and has an eery gift for predicting the next line of dialogue on “Outlander” or “The Expanse”.

Nell has lived in bklyn since 2002. She's a freelance writer/director/consultant for the theatre, and sometimes temps at a hedge fund. She is grateful for Prospect Park and all the beauty it has to offer whatever the season. Currently into Golden Age Hollywood/International films, vintage Brit series, and shows that skew meta!
