I am a 25 year old painter and I just made the move from Brooklyn to Los Angeles where I am originally from. I have loved my studio so much, especially sharing it with such incredible artists and friends, and being in such creative company, but it was time for me to make the move back to the West Coast.
My friend is currently subletting my studio area from me so I am not there, but I can arrange for you to see the space and meet the other girls easily.
I mostly made oil paintings and board carvings in the space. I am a fairly clean painter but the space is really fine for a little mess. I have a great relationship with all the people working in the building management and can help you with any concerns you have at any time.
I can leave you the metal shelf in the space which is great for storage, as well as the mobile cart I used for painting, if that's something that would be helpful for you.
Current tennant
My friend is currently subletting the space from me so the exact date of their move out/your move in can be flexible depending on your preferred date, but it would ideally be on or around the 15th of April.
Move-in costs: Prorated rent for the month of April (If beginning on the 15th it would be $329) plus security deposit of $300 (approximately half of one month's rent) which will be returned at the end of the sublease July 31st.
Payments will be made directly to me, and I will handle the payments to the building management, as I currently hold the lease.
Ideal applicants are friendly, responsible, and respectful of shared spaces.
