Hi! I'm looking for someone to sublet my Bushwick studio starting February 15 through June 1 2026. If necessary, a February 1 move-in can be arranged. At this time, I'm only considering people who can take the studio for at least 12 months.
About the studio:
230 sq. ft., fully private with a window(!) that gets excellent sunlight.
Monthly rent is $860, which includes utilities and wifi
The lease is up August 31, with a fixed 5% increase in the rent (this is the same fixed increase year to year.)
There's potential for the subletter to take over the least after June 2026.
The studio is on the third floor of a walk-up building (unfortunately not ADA accessible), located a 5-minute walk from the Jefferson L train, located very close to Vita Coffee. There is a freight elevator in the building that tenants can operate, as well as two bathrooms and a slop sink on each floor. I've loved being in this building, and am only subletting because I'm at a long term residency.
I plan to keep one 8" x 3" x 2" shelf in the corner of the studio with some of my belongings in the space (reflected in studio rent.) There's also a mini fridge and microwave that the subletter can use, as well as a freestanding AC unit. If the subletter would prefer that those items be removed, we can definitely discuss it!
The subletter will need to fill out a basic application via the property manager, and will be responsible for a 1-month safety deposit.
I'm an artist based in Queens/LES. I have an excellent relationship with the property manager/landlord, and have never had an issue in the two years I've been a tenant in this space.
