Subletting my beautiful and charming furnished 2-bedroom cottage in Palenville, NY for 4 months starting January 1st, 2025.

The main bedroom is a big loft bedroom upstairs with wood floors and with plenty of space. It has a King bed consisting of two twin beds pushed together, so please note while is very wide, it is not the typical length of a regular king bed. There is also a dresser and a large desk.

The 2nd bedroom downstairs is a very bright space (windows all around), with new faux wood floors and basic furniture like a full bed, beautiful Moroccan desk, and a dresser. It has its own independent thermostat and a separate entrance from the front porch.

The rest of the place has wooden floors, a beautiful open living room with large TV, a antique and working wood stove, a small kitchen fully stocked with kitchen wares, and a small bathroom with a shower. Both the cooking stove and bathroom floor have just been updated and the entire place was painted this summer.

The cottage sits on a beautiful 170-acre property that used to be a children's camp with streams and ponds, with direct access to trails to the Kaaterskill Wild Forest and the Long Path Trail.

There is a lovely young married couple renting a house with 2-outdoor cats right next door, so while there is plenty of outdoor space, please note that you do have neighbors.

Palenville is home to the iconic Circle W (circlewmarket.com ), a charming cafe with organic groceries and local gift items, a few restaurants including the Griffin House, a delightful new bookstore, and most importantly to excellent Catskill hiking!

There is plenty of parking in the driveway and on the side of the dirt road leading up to the cottage.

The cottage is a 15-minute drive to Woodstock, Saugerties, Catskill, Tannersville and 25 minutes to Hudson and Kingston.

Please note I will need to leave some of my belongings but all surfaces with be cleared, so that you can use all furniture as intended. Feel free to read any of my books!

You would have to bring your own towels, groceries, soaps, and potentially some bedding.

I am a native German, who loves animals, nature, hiking, making art, music, comedy... I have been in the US for 22 years. I will not be at the property during your stay. Did I say I love animals? I usually live here with my small dog and cat, so some of my items will be around. I work remotely and also do some design and illustration (field of my studies) work from home.

I have a bunch of books at home you would be free to borrow :)
