Lovely, comfortable farmhouse in Hillsdale. If you're looking for sleek and modern, this is not the house for you; cozy, romantic and authentic: yes. This house is very comfortable with a wood stove in the living room, all amenities in the kitchen and a claw-footed tub and separate shower in the bathroom. It is an old farmhouse and so it has some quirks, mainly a steep staircase. There are great restaurants nearby and access to cultural outlets, antiques on Warren Street in Hudson, Mahaiwe Theater in Great Barrington, Tanglewood and Jacob's Pillow. The porch overlooking the garden is one of our favorite places to be in the summer. There's a charcoal barbecue. Please note there is no central air conditioning; the house is protected by trees and mostly stays cool; there are plenty of fans. There's a tv operating on Roku in the big bedroom.
