[Not necessarily just 1 year]
Welcome to this lovely, huge, furnished, ELEVATOR-accessible apartment CONVENIENTLY LOCATED ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE A TRAIN (181st St stop) just 20 minutes to Midtown.
A 100% HOUSE-TRAINED, FRIENDLY DOG will be seriously considered!
You will have your OWN PRIVATE HALF BATH (bathroom w/ toilet and sink) adjoining your very large furnished bedroom with a Queen sized bed.
I WILL PAY ALL UTILITIES including high-speed Internet.
The apartment has good light, wood floors, and Art Deco style on a quiet, treelined street in the "Hudson Heights" section of Washington Heights. It's on the 5th floor, with wood floors, high ceilings, and gas stove. There's a central foyer, 2 bedrooms, dining area, and living room. There's also a full bathroom (where you can shower). The living room is huge, with two couches, and a great music collection. The kitchen, which is stocked with great appliances, is adjacent to a charming dining alcove.
You would be sharing the apartment with me, a nice, single woman in my 60s (usually assumed to be in my 40s because I'm youthful in every other way!). I'm a writer/producer in the cultural heritage travel field.
This is a fantastic neighborhood! The apartment is across the street from the A train (20 minutes to midtown) and a 10-minute walk to the 1 train. It's situated at the intersection of 3 shopping areas—equally close to hip W. 187th Street and Ft. Washington Avenue as it is to Broadway and W. 181st Street. There are excellent restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops.
If you love the arts, you're in luck: free/inexpensive concerts by world-class musicians, poetry readings, and wine tastings are held here regularly. There are also parks galore. It's a short walk to the Cloisters, a stunning outpost of the Met Museum.
You are responsible, respectful, reasonably quiet, friendly, and good natured. No smoking or drugs in the apartment.
I'd love to tell you more about this opportunity, so please get in touch! Feel free to write me with questions. Thanks!
I'm a nice, creative, mature female writer-producer and CEO/founder of an innovative travel-tech-culture startup. I'm the leaseholder of the apartment.
