Hello! I've not sought out housing in NYC in almost 10yrs and am considering all options: a studio, 1 bedroom, or a shared living space. I could consider something short term, but moving in NYC sucks, so ideally this is something long-term, for a year minimum.
I'd like an unfurnished bedroom, but I do have some common spaces furniture that are super functional and in great shape. But stuff is just stuff, so those can go if not needed. My budget is $1200-$1700.
I've always cherished my home to be a haven from the busy brouhaha of the city, and that is above all, what I need. I'd like a space that is spacious and with good natural light. I envision an apartment where housemates can enjoy privacy and space, yet can come together in the common spaces if desired for a glass of wine, or some quiet time with a book.
About you: you are also neat, clean, organized, respectful, kind, and communicative. Your age doesn't matter, but it'd be great if you were 35+, but regardless, you don't bring the party home and don't do hard drugs.
I am a neat, clean, organized, respectful, kind, communicative, chill and responsible 45 yr old woman. I run a small wine retail business in Park Slope and while I work weekends, I do have most nights off and usually spend them at home cooking, or out and about with friends. The days of bringing the party home are long behind me, but I do like to entertain a friend or two for dinner occasionally. I'm an avid cook so I'd love a space that has a fully functional kitchen and preferably some storage for extra kitchen gadgets.
I come with a 15 yr old girl cat, Juniper, who I've had since she was a kitten: she still acts like a spring chicken but her age is starting to show. These days she mostly just naps and snuggles and while she's a sweet bug, she can be a little frosty to strangers.
I do not smoke (anything) and would prefer a non-smoking and no hard drugs household.
