My name is Jonah and two joined rooms have opened up in my apartment // looking for a roommate to come and live in these rooms. First and foremost seeking a vibe of good communication and mutual respect. The aspiration is for a home which can be a peaceful place, and also lighthearted and fun to be in. Do you want to co-create this together?

This is a first floor apartment, a couple steps down to enter. There is an open floor plan living room / kitchen.

Offering the two rooms for a combined $1375.

Move in is Nov. 15, but may be flexible.

One is larger and the other is smaller. Either can be the bedroom depending on needs. The second room could be an office, studio, lounge pad, mediation/yoga room, etc. It's a pretty nice setup.

The ceilings are just slightly lower than most apartments. I'm 5' 8" and have no issue.

Inside space includes:

- Range/oven + large fridge
- Bath tub
- Upright piano
- In-unit washer + dryer
- Recently renovated

Outside Includes:

- Big back yard
- Garden beds
- Fig, orange, lemon, plum, apple, pear trees
- Grape vines
- Barrel sauna
- Tool shed
- Currently a couple chickens
- Green egg grill for now

Does not include or allow:

- Pets
- Smoking inside
- Basement
- Central heating or air condition (space heaters only)

Internet is $20, utilities around $20-70/pp

The apartment is on the edge of Emeryville and very close to Berkeley as well. It's a 15 minute walk or 4 minute bike ride or drive to Berkeley Bowl West. Close walk to Paradise Park cafe, Red Bay, and Cafe Colucci.

It would be welcome but not needed if you had...

- house plants
- a connection to social justice, contemplative and/or movement practice, music/art, spending time by trees or the ocean
- a love of food / cooking, (would be open to co-cooking sometimes, if you are vegetarian)

About This Lister

I make videos for work and am sometimes away for weeks on end. I go to bed around 11/12 plus or minus, and am usually up 7-9. I really like food and also enjoy learning about natural wine, riding my bike and 50 cc scooter, going on hikes, bowling, watching movies, hanging out with loved ones, and some low key dance practice. I have tended to use he/him pronouns and am 33 years old.

Upstairs is another apartment occupied by two rad friends + a doggie.
