Breadth taking light drenched loft apartment in a former synagogue in the East Village. The apartment is furnished, and is 1 of 5 residences within a majestic, land-marked East Village building (a former synagogue). The apartment is dramatic, stunning, and elegant, and is a 1200+ sq foot 1 bar duplex. The open and airy loft like space features vast 10 foot windows with over 18 foot ceilings and offers amazing South, East and West exposures. The apartment is extremely quiet and peaceful, and is a refuge from the City.
On the main floor is an open chef's kitchen with all Miele Cooktop, Oven and Dishwasher and Subzero Fridge plus tons of counter space. The expansive living and entertaining areas offer an unprecedented sense of volume and space while remaining cozy and welcoming. Also on this floor is the gorgeous primary bathroom complete with a custom Corian tub and dual vanity with Dornbracht fixtures and of course, a washer/dryer. The custom-designed stair case adds great fluidity to the space and leads to the large open bedroom. This is a truly special apartment - which offers great space and privacy. The apartment is a rare find for an out of town visitor or someone needing a COOL short term place.
I am the owner of the apartment and most of the time it is our home. I do sometimes sublet it when I leave for the summer, as I am doing this year. I am a college professor by profession.
I am the contact person and landlord for the apartment, and will be showing the space to interested parties. My pronouns are he/his.
I am the owner and landlord.
Sub-letter would need to pay first month's rent plus a security deposit (equal to one month's rent). Also required would be two references, a govt issued picture ID, a credit check, and signing a sub-lease agreement. The tenant would also agree to abide by all maintenance policies for the apartment and building. The apartment is gorgeous and needs to be treated well. I will make appointments to show the apartment upon request.
