This is my little sanctuary in the East Village, located on iconic Saint Marks Place, less than 1 block away from Tompkins Square Park. The East Village is everything you hope for in a Manhattan experience, bustling with incredible restaurants and bars. Just on my block alone you'll find the delicious hot spot Cafe Mogador, the iconic speakeasy Please Don't Tell, brand new cocktail bar Bar Lula, and so much more! Organic grocery stores, vintage shops, and coffee shops are all within walking distance as well. I'm happy to provide recommendations if you'd like. This apartment is perfect for someone who wants to be in the middle of the action of lower Manhattan.

The apartment is on the 3rd floor of a walk up building. I have a king sized Casper mattress. The bedroom windows face south to allow for tons of natural light, but also have very effective blackout curtains to make sure the sun doesn't wake you. I will be emptying my closet completely and providing you with tons of storage space. You wont have to deal with any of my personal things being left.

The living room features a gorgeous vintage couch, my prized possession. There's a projector set up with Google TV (all streaming services) for your movie watching needs. There's also a high top desk in the living room, as well as high speed Wi-Fi, which makes this a great place to work remotely.

The kitchen and bathroom both were recently renovated with modern finishes (rare in the East Village). The bathroom has a great bathtub and shower, towels are provided. Open kitchen includes modern appliances, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, etc.

There is rooftop access at the top of the building, which is basically private because it's very under used. My building is the tallest on the block, providing you with a gorgeous 360 degree view of the New York skyline. There's a lovely table and chairs set up to relax and take in the city at any hour of the day.

I'm looking for a respectful, quiet, clean individual or couple to take care of my home as if it were their own. I have used Listings Projects as a subletter in the past and have had lovely experiences. Hoping for the same. NO pets and absolutely NO parties, sorry. But there's plenty of amazingly fun places in the area to socialize, you'll find the street becomes very lively.

There is no laundry in the building but several laundromats within walking distance, I have one in particular I use, they also offer drop off wash and fold service, and even pick up if you'd prefer! There's a handful of great options I can provide you with.

Transportation is easily accessible between the L train at 14th street, the F train at 2nd Ave, and the 6 train on Astor Place. Plus there are Citi Bike docks nearby. Also very easy to walk to SoHo or the Lower East Side.
