I'm visiting Rego Park, Queens, for a personal documentary project from 13th to 29th March. It's a short work trip, so I'm looking for a spare room made for a lodger or temporary guest. It can be in a shared or private apartment.
I'll mostly eat out, but it would be handy to have access to a kitchen and grocery store. I'm also happy to share the communal space and get to know my hosts.
Amenities would include wifi, laundromat nearby, clean sheets, hot shower, and a small kitchen.
I'm Aitan Ebrahimoff (1991, UK) an artist-filmmaker from London living in Amsterdam. In Rego Park, I'm making a film about the Bukharian Jews and the Iranian diaspora. I was born in London, but my family is originally from Iran, hence the interest.
As I'm on a short film trip I'll have a small suitcase and a light camera setup. I'll spend most of my time out searching for stories and places, but welcome a friendly easygoing host. I hope to meet most of my participants around Rego Park, Queens.
