The apartment is incredibly special. I've lived here for 12 years and continue to fall in love with the space and neighborhood everyday. It's incredibly bright (offering 3 exposures plus skylights), with tree-top, brownstone, downtown Brooklyn, and Manhattan views. Downstairs is the bathroom, primary bedroom, kitchen living room/dining area. Upstairs is the 2nd bedroom-- somewhat open to the downstairs in that there's no door, but it's super quiet and private nonetheless. Private roof deck is upstairs, as well.

Hi!

I am a bicoastal food stylist and recipe developer living between NY and LA, spending about 95% of my time in LA. There are a couple of scenarios that could work for this space. Due to some restrictions from my landlord, I am only able to entertain inquiries from single people and in some cases, a couple.

1. A roommate (of sorts). Given that I'm basically never in my apartment, the place would essentially be yours, and you'd be on the lease :) This option is somewhat cheaper because I'd be chipping in for rent/utilities based on how often I'm there.

2. Or, a straight-up sublet for anywhere from 2-6 months, or more... there are lots of options here.

I'm easing my way out of NY and into LA but not quite ready to let go of the apartment. My landlord is generously allowing me to have a roommate or subletter until I'm ready to take the leap.

If going the roommate route, I'm looking for the right fit: someone chill who'd be down to have me back in the space when I come into town (mainly to work). When back, I would stay in the upstairs bedroom. I will always know in advance when I'm headed to NY so would always be able to give a big heads up; when I'm in town it's normally anywhere between 3-7 days, approximately every 4-6 months.

I'm out and about most of the time when in NY, but as I love my home, I like a good hang out in the apartment, too. I hope you're the type of person who'd like to share a moment over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine when I come back to town. I love the idea of welcoming a roommate into the apartment who could also become a friend :)

If you're interested in a straight-up sublet, that works, too! I just need a few months to move myself out and have a stoop sale to sell everything when I move in the spring/summer/early fall, so looking for someone to stay here in my place until then. I'm flex!
