I have an interesting space opportunity tucked away in the hills of Highland Park. It is a charming 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom stand-alone house which is primarily being used as a creative space. There are two bedrooms, one bathroom, a fully functioning kitchen, and a dining room and living room. Washer and dryer in the unit. There is a patio with views for you to enjoy as well.
There is one person living in the space now but he is leaving in April. So I am considering renting the space to an artist or two as a creative studio. The understanding would be that there will be community and arts events (1-2 times per month) throughout the spring and summer.
I imagine the space would be best used by someone looking for a studio with 24/7 access, or an office space that doesn't feel like an office space. The spot is charming and gets great natural light.
I am also open to someone living there given they are ok with the alternative use of the house, rent to be discussed. This would also be great for an artist looking to create or show work in a residential setting.
Options:
Rent a room as your personal workspace/creative studio
Rent a room to live in
Rent can be discussed based on use/need. Total rent is $3010.00 plus utilities.
I am a choreographer, dancer, and event producer. I plan to host gatherings in the space showcasing the work of other artists, and well as host events such as breathe work workshops, intimate performance series featuring music (within city ordinance hours and at a respectful volume for our neighbors), community dinners, etc.
I have a service dog that visits the space with me sometimes.
I am the tenant.
Just pay the rent on time and in full. I will ask for your ID for a background check and probably some questions about what you do for work. 1 month security deposit equal to what we decide your monthly rent is.
no live in pets, but bringing your trained doggie to work in the space is ok.
