Seeking a collaborator to sublet and take over my 3-bedroom penthouse apartment and community space and have it to themselves most of the time. The space is beautifully furnished as a boho-zen-style, quiet, energetically balanced sanctuary. Eco-friendly values a must. I am subletting at a discount, since I (40s female), the lease holder, and 1 female friend (60s female), a long-time collaborator, will visit a few days each month or every other month for appointments in the city and collaboration on the space. The space has been functioning as a kind of intimate community wellness & art center, as well as a residence. We have hosted psychotherapy, ceremonies, family constellations, visual art parties, herbal research events, intimate acoustic concerts, and regenerative workshops. If you are up for it, we could continue in that capacity. We are seeking a single person or a couple, so there will still be 2 extra rooms available for us to stay in when we visit. The lease is up April 30, and I don't think I will renew. There may be an option for you to take over the lease.

I have tended this space as a beloved home and creative project since Jan 2020. It is a true sanctuary, described by some as a piece of heaven in the city. It is a ~900 sq ft 3-bedroom apt with 2 rooms set up as bedrooms and 1 as an office. There is a 350 sq ft open-plan common area where we have hosted events and collaborations. The interior is designed with holistic and ecological health, feng shui, function/utility, and alternatives to consumerism in mind. The flow of energy in the space is wonderful. There are artful plant installations, an apothecary-lab, an urban fireplace. We have projector and projection screen, monitors, keyboards, stocked kitchenware, most practical things you would need. Please note that the right person for this space is comfortable with plant care (mostly hardy plants), finds it easy to keep up with the dishes and housekeeping, and understands ecologically-minded housekeeping (recycling, compost, non-toxic products). Happy to hear from you and discuss what works best for everyone involved.

About This Lister

I am a regenerative creative, entrepreneur, artivist, and steward of re-enchanted, relational science. I am the lease holder of this space, which I love and have been co-creating and tending since Jan 2020. I began spending time out of state to cultivate deeper relationship with my parents and help them out, so I come to the space for shorter visits. I currently have 1 roommate-collaborator who lives in the space (at least until end of January). He pays $1400 per month, and there may be an option for him to stay and take a portion of the rent off your plate (definitely for January). My roommate-collaborator is quiet, gentle, clean, respectful, and spends a lot of time outside of the apartment. Very positive energy and a good communicator.
