I live in Maine mostly and commute to DC occasionally and am looking to rent out the primary room and/or the basement of my beautiful art-filled house.

I am flexible with dates and open to commuters who would need a room for 2-3 weeks a month (and could pro-rate the rent accordingly). The basement rents for $800/mo.

You are a tidy, mindful friendly person who would be sharing the house with a quiet mindful yogi and Rocko, a yellow-bellied slider turtle.

This sunny and airy oasis has been home to a yoga center so the vibes are high. It is on a great block with wonderful neighbors, just north of Lincoln Park and within short walking distance to the U.S. Capitol and National Mall.

It has two large bedrooms upstairs. The primary bedroom has a bright bay window, a queen bed, a desk and a walk-in closet. A full bathroom with shower and bathtub is just down the hallway.

The main floor has a bright open floor plan with lots of windows and a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove leading out to a private peaceful garden.

There's a fully finished English basement with a bedroom and storage room with washer and dryer downstairs.

My house is steps away from H Street, Eastern Market, and Barracks Row. Walk to your office on the Hill, or to museums and monuments on the National Mall. Hop on the D6 or metro to Dupont Circle or U Street. Rose’s Luxury one of my favorite restaurants is within walking distance. Shop at organic food markets Mom’s and Yes!. Farmer’s market at Eastern Market on Tuesdays and weekends. Mr. Ko’s corner store at the end of the block.
