Nice room for rent in 3rd floor walk-up in beautiful Bed-Stuy. 2 blocks from the A/C train at Utica. You can get to Penn Station in less than 30 mins, it's super convenient. Building located in beautiful Bed-Stuy, bordering historic districts with iconic brownstones, gardens, and families. Great quality food spots on our block and close by. Coffee shops across the street, a couple blocks from tennis/handball courts and playgrounds, very near library, laundry, cheap pizza spots, delis, bars, a grocery store just down the street. Ours is the top floor of two units, we have roof access with a lovely view, and a good relationship with our downstairs neighbors, in a calm building.

The room for rent is large ~12x13, east facing, with two large windows and an ornamental fireplace. It comes lightly furnished with a bed and optional side tables and shelf.

Rental is month to month. Where we live in Bed-Stuy is a mix of old BK and new/gentrified BK. A lovely neighborhood if you like to go out or stay in and the location is extremely convenient. About This Lister

We are 2 full-time roommates and a 3rd away for part of the year, but potentially and occasionally stopping in for short stays. We have a vegetarian kitchen, are tv free, smoke free, pet free, lgbtq friendly, and politically left leaning.

We enjoy staying busy in our artistic vocations, don't bring the party home, and keep a respectful consciousness of volume when we're home. We are in our 40's and 50's - a teacher/painter, admin/freelancer/musician, and contractor/service worker. Looking for someone who would be a good match with a similar lifestyle, with a regular schedule, and not working from home a majority of the time ideally.

The apartment is no-frills, but is our home, and we enjoy its calm and stability. Cleanliness and tidiness in the common areas can be important, doing dishes soon after meals for example, as we are in an old apartment in Bed-Stuy and the potential for pests is always right around the corner.

We have a rooftop garden, we're friendly, respectful, communicative, and fun, but also enjoy our low-key apartment. Generally since covid we are light on having guest over - this is open to discussion depending on the circumstances.
