I'm a management consultant that travels a lot for work, and in some cases for long periods of time, hence I have sublet many times via listings project - in the past in my old place. I'm an Australian but I've lived here for nearly 10 years and call NY home and I've spent a lot of time making my place feel warm, welcoming, well lit and convenient. I rent directly with the landlord via their building management company. I've only just moved in, so I haven't even met any of my neighbors yet, although people walking past have been very smiley - I've just not yet introduced myself :)
