This peaceful, bright, quiet space sits over the Indian River and the D&H rail trail. From the kitchen window and the balcony, look out over the river and across to the rail trail bridge only feet away. People from all over walk, bike, run, and ski on this beautiful 11 mile long trail. Enjoy the fire pit on a cold, clear night in the garden by the river.
On the second floor, it is full of light and is open and airy with high ceilings and nine huge windows. The refinished original fir and maple floors add warmth to the entire space.
The building is on a slope, so the western-facing kitchen and porch rise up high over the river and rail trail and the view is breathtaking. Sunlight streams into the kitchen and onto the balcony throughout most of the day.
The apartment has a very well equipped kitchen and pantry, as well as super high speed internet through Fidium. Also, there is a TV monitor and an Apple TV box for streaming. No cable TV. Access to the apt. is by way of stairs with handrails. You’ll also have some access to the laundry on the garden level, the garden and fire pit, a bicycle and snowshoes. The balcony outside the kitchen window is for you alone. Parking is in the driveway.
West Pawlet is a quiet, rural VT village that was once a bustling quarry and farming town with a railroad depot. People from all walks of life live in the community. Other than the post office, there is no retail activity in the village, but Granville is just 3 miles down the road or you can drive through beautiful rolling hills to get to Pawlet, Dorset, and Manchester (4, 10 and 16 miles respectively) for delicious, fresh, artisanal food, farmer’s markets, shopping, arts, and hiking. If you are a skier, Bromley is 19 miles away and Killington is 30.
I am the owner of the building and live on the 1st floor. I have worked renovating the building for two years and love living here! I am friendly but very respectful of boundaries.

Well-behaved, clean dogs who are loved by responsible people. Please do not leave unattended for more than a couple of hours. If necessary, please crate them when leaving. Have fun on the trail but clean paws when returning. Thank you for understanding.
