Hivewild seeks Marketing Associate

Hivewild is seeking a creative individual to grow the administrative capacity of the company and enhance organizational communications. The Marketing Associate assists the Artistic Director, Dancer Liaison, and Producer across all media-based aspects of the organization, with an emphasis on digital communications, social media, advertisement, and event campaigns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General Administration
-Attend weekly virtual meetings with the Hivewild administrative team to communicate status updates, outstanding needs, and next steps
-Help maintain digital asset management system across the organization

Marketing & Communications
-Create and maintain media/communications calendar in collaboration with the Artistic Director and Producer
-Draft email correspondence and social media content on behalf of Hivewild
-Draft audio/visual promotional materials for Hivewild
-Assist with maintaining Hivewild artist, partner, and network databases
-Attend rehearsals once monthly to capture footage for content creation
-Attend public performances to capture footage for content creation

QUALIFICATIONS

-Must embrace the mission and values of Hivewild, and be willing to familiarize themself with the organization in order to succinctly communicate Hivewild’s mission
-High School Diploma or equivalent certification (BA in related field a plus)
-2-4 years experience with arts administration, media, and communications
-Broad knowledge of the professional arts landscape and industry
-Experience conceptualizing, capturing, and editing dance-forward content
-Ability to work asynchronously while maintaining strict time boundaries
-Proficiency in Google Suite, GiveLively, Canva, Mailchimp, and social media platforms
-Proficiency with editing software, including Adobe Premiere or DaVinci
-Able to generate multiple editions of the same content to accommodate different platforms
-Experience with website development preferred but not required
-Clear communicator with excellent speaking, writing, editing, and proofreading skills

TITLE, REPORTING, TERMS, & COMPENSATION

Applicant’s title will be Marketing Associate. Applicant will report to Katherine Maxwell (the “Artistic Director”), or as otherwise directed by the Artistic Director.

This is a part time, fully remote, hourly position. Hourly rate is $23/hour, with an anticipated 7-10 hour/month commitment. This is an independent contractor position, and does not include benefits. The contract duration is one year, and may be renewed at the end of term and at the discretion of the Artistic Director.
