Hi! My lease is renewing at the end of November and my current roommate is leaving for CA. Would love to find someone chill and friendly to sign on with me asap. The apartment common areas are fully furnished, but the room will be empty.

Ideal candidate:
- likes cats; would consider welcoming in another cat if they get along with mine!
- good communication: totally ok with just being roommates, but friendliness and healthy ways of communicating are essential for a shared space
- respectful: this is home, and i’d like for us both to feel at ease!
- tidy and willing to clean: i try to keep things relatively organized and do chores on my weekend.
- lgbtq+ friendly!

- large room faces the back of the building and i've been told is very quiet with amazing afternoon light

About me: 29F; I do not work from home, so the apt is quiet during weekdays. I love a d.i.y. or creative project. I like public radio, biking around brooklyn, and Studio Ghibli movies. I’m from Texas, but have lived in NYC for 6 years now. I am currently applying for grad school, so I do work in the common area on occasion. I like for the apt to be a peaceful place, but have friends over a few times each month for dinners, movies, etc. Nothing super rowdy. I will cook often, but nothing extravagant. I'm vegetarian, queer, and very leftist.

My cat is 2.5 years old! he enjoys being around people and is very curious, well-behaved, and chill, just not cuddly. Would be great if you’re comfortable feeding him breakfast the occasional day I’m out of town.
