I'm subletting the large, sunny bedroom in our peaceful 2nd floor home in Kensington/Ditmas Park for the summer (May–July). The house is quiet, full of light, and shared with two lovely, respectful flatmates in their late 20s/early 30s—one is an MFA art student, the other works in film. It’s a warm, creative household with a mellow, easygoing vibe.

The room is fully furnished with a queen-size bed, large desk, and bureau, and has its own direct access to a balcony—a real treat this time of year. The apartment also includes a spacious shared living room, kitchen, and bathroom.

Subletter will be expected to participate in communal house cleaning tasks. Ideally candidate would be up for watering my plants.

Location:
We’re on East 7th Street between Avenue C and Cortelyou. It’s a short walk to the Q train at Cortelyou (11 mins) or the F at Ditmas Ave. We’re also just blocks from Cortelyou Road’s great cafes, restaurants, bars, and the Sunday farmers market, and about 15 minutes from Prospect Park.

About This Lister

I’m a 40-year-old theater artist (he/him)—director, performer, puppeteer—and also a software engineer. I’ll be around the neighborhood in May and July (staying with my partner nearby), and away on an artist residency in Norway in June.

We like to keep the apartment clean and comfortable, but it’s a relaxed and friendly space. Ideal for someone creative, considerate, and easy to live with.
