About this Lister

I’m originally from Ann Arbor, MI, and I’m currently a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor and practitioner with a passion for teaching and personal growth. Beyond BJJ, I have a deep love for learning foreign languages, which led me to spend over five years living in China and becoming fluent in Mandarin. I’m inspired by the satisfaction of learning and the growth that comes from stepping outside of one’s comfort zone.

I truly enjoy working with people and helping them achieve their goals, whether it’s mastering a physical skill like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or developing a mental skill like learning a new language. My approach is always encouraging, collaborative, and tailored to the unique needs of those I work with.

Background and Expertise

I’ve spent over five years living in China, where I became fluent in Mandarin and passed the HSK4 exam (Chinese proficiency exam level 4). During this time, I also worked as an English teacher, gaining valuable experience in language instruction. Now back in the U.S., I’m offering personalized online Mandarin lessons tailored to your unique needs and interests.
