Tranquil, light-filled room available in large, fully furnished, book and plant filled apartment on the second floor of a detached house in Sunset Park, with parking, guest room / office, and outdoor space. We're a few minutes walk to the express N and local R at 59th St, and close to the Brooklyn Army Terminal, where you can catch the ferry straight to the Rockaways or Governor's Island, yet the block itself is quiet and calm. We have a back patio (I've had my birthday party there the past three summers -- it's perfect for small gatherings) and there is ample room to add to the (front, side, and back!) gardens if that's your thing.

The bedroom comfortably fits a full bed, small desk, dresser, and bookcase. It has a closet, and a window AC, and two windows, and is in the back of the apartment, so street noise is minimal.

It may be possible to have you move in before November 10th -- we can discuss!

I'm a mid thirties female who works in-office once or twice a week (I'm a program manager for a food tech company in Midtown) and from home the rest of the time. I have an MFA in nonfiction and worked in publishing for many years. I love reading, writing, museums, photography, baked goods, city-exploring and city-escaping, and Charlotte, my two year old Cavalier King Charles.

Occasionally, I'll have a friend or a small group of friends over, which you are welcome to do as well of course, but my apartment socializing is definitely of the tame variety.

I like to keep my living space clean and calm and looking for the same in a roommate. Also: friendly, mature, respectful, and okay living with a Cavalier. We don't be need to be best friends, but the occasional hang out (or at least saying hello in the kitchen) would be nice.
