I am seeking a subletter for the 2nd bedroom of my loved 2BR apartment in Crown Heights. The room features a very comfy queen bed, a large desk, shelves for storage, books to peruse, and a large, empty closet. The common spaces feature a light-filled living room with two couches, a TV, and lots of plants; a connected dining area also with lots of light and more plants; and a galley-style, well-stocked and ready-to-use kitchen. The bathroom features a full-sized tub, a window, and plenty of storage. The apartment is well-heated through the winter months.
I'm looking for someone who wants a peaceful spot, especially great if you're a plant-lover. The apartment and the building are pet-free and great for anyone with allergies. My space is located on the third (top) floor at the back of the building and is quiet, clean, well organized, and bright. I'll be commuting into the city for work during 2 days a week, but otherwise you will have the apartment to yourself (the rent reflects this). I'm looking for someone who would like to stay for one or two months - ideal if you're relocating yourself and want a fully functioning spot to land.
I've lived in Crown Heights for over 10 years and love my neighborhood. Laundry is across the street (open 24hours, newly renovated, and rarely crowded), and there are several small & well-stocked grocery stores within 2 blocks. There are also plenty of great restaurants restaurants along Franklin, Bedford and Nostrand Ave. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden & Prospect Park are a 15 minute walk along Eastern Parkway, and there are several close community gardens, and smaller parks. Short blocks from the 44-SBS, 49, 45 buses and 7min walk from the 2, 3, 4, 5 trains and a 10 min walk to the A, C trains. Street parking in the neighborhood is usually pretty easy to find.
I am a floral designer, photographer, event-producer, and a plant-lover who has lived in NY for 14 years and recently relocated upstate. I have worked to create a peaceful oasis of my apartment. I hope that you feel at home in this space, and would ask that you treat everything around you with respect and care. I will be commuting to the city for work for 2 days a week during your stay, but otherwise you will have the apartment to yourself.
