Hi! We're (32M + 36M) looking for a roommate, who is responsible, mature and clean, to join us in our apartment. Must be LGBTQ+ friendly. Serious inquiries only, please.
Your space: The unfurnished room is 13'x8 with a window, closet, and A/C unit.
Shared space: The 3-bedroom, 2.5 bathroom apartment is open-concept, with a modern kitchen (including kitchen island and dishwasher), spacious, carpeted living room and small balcony with a little bench. We have some plants, so are plant friendly! But unfortunately, we can't have any pets due to allergies, so it's a pet-free zone. For cleaning purposes, we trade off weekends to clean bathrooms and other shared spaces. Utilities (water, gas, electricity) are currently included in the rent. However, the building is in the process of converting to a submeter for electricity so that would eventually become an additional cost but there will be a decrease in rent to compensate the changes. WiFi/Cable is separate.
Building: There are two elevators and a laundry room (currently under reno but you'll have access to laundry rooms in the other buildings within the complex.) There is a lounge/working area as well as a small gym that is shared across all buildings within the complex. As a roommate, you'll have access to all!
Neighborhood: We're located in a great neighborhood, at the end of East Harlem and a couple of blocks away from the start of the Upper East Side (and right next to the FDR so easy access to the city via car). Tons of restaurants and cafes nearby, a hospital in walking distance and quick access to public transportation via Q/6 train and M15 bus.
I'm (32M) extroverted introvert who loves watching TV/films and music. Big reader (hence the bookcases) and generally chill and happy. I'm respectful of boundaries and personal spaces and expect the same.
Neither of us are necessarily party people but we do like to have fun and might have friends over occasionally. One of us works from home (Marketer/Writer) while the other goes into the office (Bank) every day, so overall schedule is a bit hybrid.
Current tenant
Would love to have a quick video chat before inviting any potential roommate to come view the room.
Ideally, looking for someone to move in either November 15th or the last weekend of November. If you decide to move in on the 15th, you'll just have to cover half the rent ($625).
