$1,400 per month for approximately 150 sq feet room in large shared apartment. Utilities (ConEd, National Grid, Spectrum Internet) are shared. Unfortunately no closet but ample space for storage or wardrobe.
Five bedrooms rooms total in a 2,000 sq ft space with two full bathrooms, large communal dining room and living room spread out over two floors plus a private courtyard.
The previous tenant was here for more than 15 years. Very respectful roommates who all have diverse, active lives so we’re not on top of each other.
Located on same block as Bar Bruno and Mazzolla Bakery. Laundry across the street. Three grocery stores within ten minutes walk and much more within one mile. Convenient, very friendly neighborhood. Easy access to trains: F/G at Carroll St or 4/5/2/3 at Borough Hall. Lots of Citibike stations.
There are already two cats in the apartment so other pets would not be welcome, unfortunately.
Currently in the apartment;
Myself, 47 year old male, been in NYC since 2007 and in this apartment since 2012. Can’t imagine a better place to live while I’m in New York. I take care of the yard, minor household upkeep, etc.
Mid twenties male who works remotely in IT
Mid twenties queer male who teaches special needs
Early twenties male pastry chef in Manhattan.
Lincoln-11 year old cat who sleeps 20+ hours daily
Mowgli- 1 year old rescue cat who loves shiny things and watching squirrels from the windows.
I am the longest term tenant and main contact with Landlord
Necessary for move in would be credit check, proof of income, $1,000 security deposit and first months rent. Ideally looking for someone long term. This would be sublease until master lease renews at end of 2025
