I offer coaching and counseling remote (zoom) one hour sessions and/or in person time together. I see individuals and couples eager to create positive & rewarding experiences in relationships with partners, families and within one self. My background is in the film & television industry (production and casting) and enjoy incorporating a great deal of creativity with a humanistic approach. My practice consists of couples and individuals who are highly motivated to create change in their relationships and to develop rewarding results.
My husband of 34 years, rescue pup Roger and I recently returned to the Hudson Valley from Los Angeles. Although a born and raised New Yorker, I lived in LA for many years working in the film and television industry in production and casting. While I loved working on the creative end of the "business", I grew increasingly unfulfilled and returned to graduate school when my therapist suggested I, too, might be an excellent therapist. This turned out to be the best decision I could make and have been in private practice for almost 30 years. I have enjoyed working with clients from around the globe and my passion for this heart centered practice is ongoing. I have seen couples form a greater commitment to one another, have assisted couples in separating and also have been delighted in seeing individuals thrive in their creative and interpersonal worlds.
I can't imagine doing anything else!
The foundation of my work began with a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology, creativity studies as a Ph.D. candidate, along with studies at the New York Psychodrama and certification with the Psychosynthesis Institute in the West Village, NYC. I am particularly interested in working with ongoing challenges which develop during life in transition, sexual orientation, family of origin trauma, develop healthy communication styles, the desire for love in rewarding relationships, coming out of isolation from the restraints of the pandemic, and working with those in recovery.
