Hello! We have a room available in our 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom Ocean Hill ground floor apartment.

The room is furnished with a nearly new (4 month old) twin size captain's bed (with storage drawers underneath) but it can turn into a full bed as needed. The room is toward the back of the house, with the only access to the backyard that leads to a shared yard. There is one closet and a window that faces the backyard.

The room and apartment has central heating and air conditioning.

The large bathroom is shared with one other female college student who also works full-time as a nanny. There is an in unit washer/dryer along with shower/soaking tub.

The kitchen is fully equipped and opens out to the living room with neutral/wood furniture, and a couch that can turn into a sofa bed.

The other bedroom is all the way on the other side of the apartment leaving you with ample privacy.

The apartment is close to the C train at Rockaway Ave (one block away) or a 5 min walk to the J/Z/L trains at Broadway Junction. A citi bike station is on the corner, with multiple bus stops along Fulton St. There is a coffee shop/bar on the block (Daily Press), as well as a juice/smoothie/patties cafe (Beets Cafe), a bar/taco restaurant within walking distance (All Night Skate), and more coffee/pastry shops (Dollys formerly known as Bread & Butter) with plenty of parks/playgrounds nearby, including a newly built/renovated skate park with basketball court, dog runs, and soccer field (Callahan-Kelly Playground).

We are looking for someone who is respectful, tidy and one who is looking for a tranquil space to come home to. The current roommate prefers a female, who is a good communicator and easy to get along with.

About This Lister

We are the owner's of the home who live on the parlor + 3rd floor. We are a family of 3 who take great pride in the neighborhood and our home. We carefully curated the apartment with furniture we bought/collected to make the space bright and comfortable.

The other tenant that you'd be sharing the apartment is originally from South Africa, whose pronouns are she/her. She has lived in the US for the past 4 years. She enjoys the outdoors, but also enjoys lounging around. She is currently doing her prereqs for nursing while babysitting. She has a full schedule that requires her to be outside the apartment most of the day. She is very respectful of one's privacy and mindful about the shared space.

Rental requirements

Room rent is $1725/month, utilities and internet not included. We would require one month rent + security deposit up front and a signed rental agreement.

Pets Policy

One pet may be allowed, but must be vetted prior to signing the agreement. There will be a pet fee/deposit of $250.
