We are looking for a new shopmate to share our 1400 SF shop in Gowanus for the coming year.

The shop is fully equipped for fine woodworking (see list below) and has three separate spaces: the shop floor with heavy machines, a studio which is sound insulated, and a shared office. Wifi and utilities are included.

The shop is a 5 minute walk from the F,G, and R at 4-Av 9th St. It is at ground level with a rear double door that opens to a two-car driveway.

About This Lister

My name's Sam! I run Studio Ami, a small hardwood furniture and built-in business, and teach elementary school art in the afternoons.

And I am Michal! I run Michal Mandil Studio - we make custom furniture, design cabinetry and teach woodworking. I also love going to the beach and listening to music :)

Sam has been in this space for a year after working in shared woodshops in New York and Boston. Michal has only recently moved in after working in custom furniture shops in New York. We have a lovely relationship with the landscaping firm that leases the building and the landlords have been responsive and effective though we rarely have to contact them.
