I’ll be traveling this comingJanuary and February, and I’m looking for a family – or two people – to enjoy my fully furnished, bright, plant-filled renovated 2-bed apartment from January 1st to February 30th. (One of the bedrooms is Japanese inspired with a Murphy Bed.)
I’m open to pro-rated ($1250 / week) sublets for a portion of this time.
Located on the 4th floor of a six-story building, the apartment has tons of light! The apartment has all amenities: WiFi, electricity, gas, heat, dishwasher, washer / dryer combo, Sonos speakers) and all household items you need (e.g. dish ware, cookware, cooking supplies, cleaning supplies, bathroom supplies, towels, bed linen, etc.).
Scandinavian inspired modern furniture, two full size beds, custom art. Plus three cacti and an elephant tree inside one of the bedrooms.
In addition to Prospect Park with its lawns, lakes, and ice rink, you very close to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, the Brooklyn Art Museum, and the main branch of the Brooklyn Library. Prospect Heights is chock full of coffee shops, restaurants, and bars. Four supermarkets 5 to 10 minutes away. Farmer’s Market at Grand Army Plaza Saturdays at the entrance to Prospect Park. A 1 mile walk (or short subway ride) to downtown BKLN, its bookstores and the cultural mecca of BAM.
.
The “2” or “3” subway station is 5 minutes away, and you can be in Manhattan in 25 minutes. The Q, 12 minutes away, has faster access to Chinatown, midtown Manhattan and the upper East side. The B, which runs weekdays, gets you to Soho, Greenwich Village, midtown Manhattan, the upper West side, Harlem, and the Bronx. There are CitiBike stations, where you can rent and ride bikes anywhere in the city. Easy Transportation!
My two adult daughters live nearby in BedStuy. (You’ll notice a picture of a dog which belongs to one of them! Dog not included.) They will be available for anything you might need.
Born in London, raised in L.A.. Most of my adulthood in the SF Bay Area. Six years in NYC for its vibrancy, diversity -- as well as jazz, theatre, dance, classical, and food. (Now a resource re: NYC for people visiting.) Quite a neat person (as the apartment shows.) Love fiction, Premier League soccer.
I'm the apartment owner, and can show the space live through Dec. 23. I normally live in the apartment full-time.
