Hello!
I am looking for an apartment to rent long-term in Brooklyn.
Requirements:
- 1 bedroom
- Budget up to $3,500
- Available as early as Dec 1st (I have a flexible, month-to-month sublet currently)
- Open to sign a new lease or do a lease takeover with option to renew
Location
:
- Prefer to be walking distance to the L or G, <40m to midtown, ~1hr to Harlem
- I currently live in Greenpoint/Williamsburg, but am also open to western Bed-Stuy, southern Clinton Hill or Fort Greene, Boerum Hill, northern Park Slope, or northern Prospect Heights
Why I’m moving:
- I’m subletting a room in Greenpoint, but would like to live alone
- I love my neighborhood, but unfortunately feel that I will be unable to find a 1-bedroom here within my budget, hence why I am open to other neighborhoods in Brooklyn (see above)
Space:
- Furnished or unfurnished is OK
- Good lighting is really important to me
- I prioritize square footage over amenities. A dishwasher, laundry in unit, etc. are nice to have but not dealbreakers
I am a 31-year-old multiracial cis woman (she/her) with excellent relationships with current and former landlords and roommates. I am quiet, clean, and respectful of the space I live in. I don’t smoke and don’t have any pets. References available upon request.
I am a former design engineer who worked in tech for many years. I am on a self-financed sabbatical to pursue several creative projects (mostly centered around writing), though even after a year I still struggle to call myself an “artist.” I have excellent credit, proof of good financial standing (200x monthly rent), and again, excellent landlord references. Take their word for it: I am a “dream” tenant.
In addition to my creative work, I am incredibly active in the latin dance community. I take classes and dance for a salsa team in wburg, where I also play flute in a latin music band. My other hobbies include aerial silks and sketching.
