We are looking to offer our home to a single person or thoughtful couple for ~3 months minimum (there is flexibility so please inquire) this summer/fall, no pets at this time. More photos will be added, but as this is our personal home, please inquire.

The Space:

Our adobe home in the Chihuahuan Desert resides on 13 acres in a quiet and serene setting adjacent to private ranch land and at the edge of Fort Davis town. The home is fully furnished. Two spacious bedrooms each with private bath. Open floor plan with hardwood & brick floors and wood burning fireplace. Classic wood vaulted ceilings & plenty natural light from floor to ceiling windows. Over 1,000sf of covered porches provide unobstructed views of the Davis Mtns. Separate warehouse could serve as a workshop and studio.

This is the perfect space for folks looking to retreat, get away from busy urban life and rid themselves of distractions. We have wild scaled quail and many other wildlife. Ideal for remote work. Best suited for adventurous spirits who enjoy nature and simple living--for anyone who has been to Far West Texas you know it is a rugged and raw environment.

The Location:

Fort Davis is a small town with a deli and grocery store. You are about a mile from the edge of town and could walk/bike into town. You are about a 20 minute drive to Marfa, TX and everything is has to offer (food, art, etc). You are about a mile walk from hiking at the Fort Davis Historic Site, 15 minutes drive from Davis Mountains State Park, 30 minutes drive from the McDonald Observatory and Davis Mountain Preserve, 2 hour drive to Big Bend National Park, 3 hour drive to Guadalupe National Park, Carlsbad Caverns, and so much more. It is the wild west! Undiscovered part of Texas.

- You will need to water plants or be ok with someone coming to water them
- You will need a car, and there is a carport

About This Lister

We have been living in the desert for 5 years now and have been working on this adobe home and ranch. We are looking to open our home to folks who might appreciate the ruggedness of the Chihuahuan Desert and all it has to offer.
