Quiet female tenant & friendly cat seek Brooklyn home

Seeking Living Space

Location

Brooklyn

Available

November 15, 2024

Hello!

I am looking for a room or apartment to rent long-term in Brooklyn. If you have an open room in your apartment or are an owner seeking a new tenant, please keep me in mind.

Requirements
- My only real requirement is a space that does not have any current pets but is open to my well-behaved, attention-loving cat.

Budget and timing
- Up to $2,200 including all utilities
- Willing to sign a lease immediately (if necessary) but not able to move until mid-November at the earliest
- Open to lease terms or sublets of 6+ months

Location
- Prefer central Brooklyn (ideally Crown Heights, Prospect Heights, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Park Slope, and surrounding areas) but am flexible to the right situation in north Brooklyn or as far south as Flatbush
- Ideally located within a 20-minute walk of 2+ subway lines

Space
- Strongly prefer an unfurnished space. I also have quite a bit of furniture that could be used for shared spaces (e.g., dining table + 4 chairs, several bookshelves, etc.).
- I have a hybrid work arrangement so need a room large enough for a queen sized bed and a desk setup.
- Strongly prefer a private bathroom; willing to share with one other person if needed

Other
- Strongly prefer no smokers (indoor or outdoor)
- My overall priority is square footage over amenities. A dishwasher, laundry in unit, etc. are nice to have but not important.

About This Lister

- I am a 34-year-old white cis woman (she/her) who works for a non-profit and also freelances occasionally in the event and hospitality space on weekends. I split my work days between my Midtown office and home
- I am a clean, neat, and respectful tenant. I can share a reference from a former roommate of 4+ years if needed
- I prefer to socialize outside my home but hope to maintain a friendly relationship with any potential roommate(s)
- I do not cook often, but I do have celiac disease, which requires a gluten-free diet and thus some caution in the kitchen. (This is very easily managed but still worth mentioning.)
