I'm a non-profit Theater Producer in NYC, originally from Canada, and have lived between the UK and NYC for the last 20 years. I sit on the coop board of my building so care grately about my neighbors and caring for my apartment. I also know how fortunate I am to have such an oasis of a space in NYC. I will be returning to Canada for the summer, as I'm expecting a baby and have a larger support network there (and more affordable healthcare). I work in an office and from home, so the home office set-up supports someone who needs to work from the apartment. My neighbors/friends are very supportive of me subletting during this time, so if not around, I feel confident that I have people (or can call people) who can.
