Hi there! I’ve got a large room with two closets opening up in my beautiful pre-war 2BR apartment. It comes loosely furnished (unless you’d prefer the room cleared), and if needed I can provide a bed. We have hardwood floors throughout the apartment, and both the kitchen & your room get a decent amount of natural light. Both kitchen & bathroom (with tub!) are well-equipped, and have been recently renovated. The kitchen is spacious enough to hold a small breakfast table, which doubles as our common space. Our building super lives next door; I’ve been living in this apartment for 10 years, and he is consistently responsive to any issues that arise.
The neighborhood is great! It’s pretty quiet on our block, but walking distance to lots of grocery stores, restaurants and shops. Laundry is on the next block. We’re two blocks from Eastern Parkway and about a 20 min walk to Prospect Park/Bk Museum.
I consider home to be a respite, and tend to keep it pretty chill. My schedule fluctuates since I work in events. When I’m home though, I do a lot of yoga/meditation, cook, bake, ferment all the veg, and often have food to share. 420 friendly. I am forever struggling to keep my houseplants alive. I like to keep the place clean, but am not strict about it. I’m happy to be social or not, but a friendly/homey vibe is ideal.
About you (I hope): A self-aware & open communicator, and thoughtful, clean & respectful. Bonus if you’re liberal-minded & eco-conscious.
Lease holder
$1300/month includes all utilities. Security deposit and first month upfront. Available starting Dec 1st. Open to a month to month arrangement, with one month’s notice, but it’d be great to have a good sense of how long you’d like to stay. Priority given to those interested in a slightly longer sublease. Folks identifying as bipoc and/or lgbtqiaa+ especially welcome.
I do have a dog and a cat, who are both super sweet and pretty easy to ignore if ya want, and even easier to love on if that’s your vibe. Potentially open to one more pet if they can cohabitate peacefully.
